Level 2 is for Low Intermediate / Elementary French Course Level students who want to practice and solidify their basic language skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and pronunciation.
Integrated Skills Course
Elementary French Course Description:
During the morning session, students study four French skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening - through a “Communicative Language Teaching” methodology. New grammar patterns are learned in the context of a conversation or a real-life situation. Students also use various activities to practice French conversation including listening tasks, role plays, and discussions. Practical reading and writing tasks and vocabulary studies are presented as well in our 6 available levels. Students can begin on any Monday.
Elementary French Course Objectives:
- Develop confidence in starting, following and carrying a basic everyday conversation with native speakers.
- Develop and use more grammatical functions needed to function effectively in French.
- Expand your basic reading and writing skills necessary to function effectively in an French environment.
- Understand your learning style and be able to check your own progress.
- Learn and appreciate different ways people see the world.

Active Listening Course
Elementary French Course Description:
During the afternoon session, students will cover a variety of topics while practicing French conversation management, North American conversational styles, and pronunciation. Students learn commonly-used idioms and slang in a communicative way. Teachers also use various activities to practice these new idioms including listening tasks, role play, and discussion.
Elementary French Course Objectives:
- Express your feelings and ideas with growing confidence with native speakers.
- Follow with confidence, a conversation between two or more native French speakers and participate in such a conversation.
- Learn and use more words and phrases related to current issues and feelings.
- Understand some cultural differences between your country and North America.
