Furthermore, it is apparent to GEOS that our students want to live in a clean, safe and comfortable environment while they study abroad. Therefore, our junior language school in Los Angeles has an accommodation coordinator who is responsible for ensuring that our young students are placed in the best available accommodations, and making sure that our students are completely comfortable, safe and happy with their new living environment.
Normally, students will only share the junior accommodations in Los Angeles with other international classmates.

Homestays in Los Angeles

The GEOS Homestays in Los Angeles are intended to give international students a first-hand experience of Los Angeles's culture by sharing in the everyday life of the host family. As well as using the practical English language skills learned at school, it is also expected that our students participate in family activities in order to get a complete view of life in Los Angeles.

While living at one of our homestays in Los Angeles, students will stay in a 2 bedded room consisting of a desk, storage space, and a personal bed. Students will be served breakfast and dinner at the accommodation and a packed lunch will be prepared for them to be eaten with their classmates at the language school. The language school can be reached by public transport from the homestays in Los Angeles in about 45-60 minutes.

Students will be placed in a homestay that best matches their personality and needs. GEOS achieves this by having a staff member personally visit each of the homestays in Los Angeles with our students’ interests in mind. Moreover, all host families also undergo a police background check. Our primary goal is to provide our students with a secure, educational and vibrant environment where students can focus on learning the new language. All of our host families in Los Angeles live in safe, comfortable neighborhoods within Los Angeles County near Torrance.
