General Requirements for Applying High School Pathways in Canada and US
Canadian Regulations
Students can apply for Study Permit within Canada, it is recommended to apply from home country prior to arrival though.
- Get accepted into SC Geos Plus Languages and a High School
- Receive a Letter of Acceptance from SC Geos and High School Confirmation or Letter of Acceptance in order to study at Accredited High School either Public or Private (In Canada, Students can obtain their Study Permit only if they book English course for 6+ months).
- Pay SC Geos and High School Fees
- Get your study permit approval
USA Regulations
International Students should apply for F-1 Visa through SC GEOS for Public, Private or Boarding schools (For a stay not longer than 12 months. It is recommended to apply from home country prior to arrival though).
- Get accepted into SC Geos Plus Languages and a High School approved by the SEVP
- Pay SEVIS fee (Pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee in order to be enrolled in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System), receive the form I-20 from the chosen high school
- Complete F1 Visa Form (pay a non-refundable visa application fee - online visa application available, complete and print the Form DS-160 to take the F-1 visa interview).
- Schedule/Attend F1 Visa Interview
- Pay SC Geos and High School Fees
- Get your F1 Visa approval
Other Requirements
- Students must be interviewed in their home country before being accepted in the program.
- At least two years of English language studies as well as good academic results are required.
- Must have completed Level 5 or 6 of SC GEOS ESL depending on the High School of choice.
- Students must be secondary school students in their home country and must not have completed more than eleven years of primary and secondary study.
- Students must have a letter of recommendation from their last two schools.
- Students must have 3 years transcripts.
