Level 4 is designed to help High Intermediate English Course Level students develop and solidify their intermediate language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing English.
Integrated Skills Course
High Intermediate English Course Objectives:
- Communicate with some confidence in casual social conversations and in some less routine situations on familiar topics.
- Communicate facts and ideas in some detail.
- Follow the main ideas and identify key words and important details in verbal communication and in other contexts (such as audio tapes, radio broadcasts, and face to face conversations).
- Follow main ideas, key words, and important details in a one-page plain-language authentic text.
- Get new information about familiar topics by reading factual texts.
- Write 1-2 paragraph letters and compositions.
- Use and understand a range of common everyday vocabulary, some common phrases, and idioms.

Active Listening Course
High Intermediate English Course Objectives:
- Communicate in unprepared casual social conversations and in some less routine situations with some confidence.
- Communicate facts and ideas in some detail.
- Give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
- Narrate a story or relate a plot, and describe your own reactions.
- Participate in informal conversations involving problem solving and decision making.
- Understand the main ideas and identify key words and important details in a moderately demanding conversation.
- Demonstrate and understand a range of common everyday vocabulary, some common phrases, and idioms.
- Understand the main point of many radio or TV programs.
